I apologize in advance to those of you back home who will inevitably hear me use some slang I've picked up on this trip, mostly in the Bay Area. In fact, some of it has already crept into my blogging in the guise of imitating my sister. But frankly, I'm very susceptible to picking up accents, catch phrases, and communication mannerisms.
So, I give you permission to shoot me stern looks, roll your eyes, or otherwise mock me when I say something like, "You hella stupid!" (meaning: You're mother f*ing stupid) or "That was hella steep!" (meaning: That was a very mother f*ing steep hill to walk up). Or "I haven't seen her in a minute." (meaning: I haven't seen her in a really mother f*ing long time, but not really that long of a time). Or any time I over-use the term "bitches" in an ironic fashion. For reals.
